USB Speakers and Headphone jacks?

I was hoping to buy some USB speakers for my HP dv9000 laptop, but i was wondering if i could still get sound from the headphone and spdif jacks while the speakers are plugged in.

Also, if you know if the Altec Lansing XT1 speakers work with Conextant HD Audio that would be great.

You want to multisession between analog and digital. It's possible but it depends on your sound card.

You should have no trouble using the headphone jack while connected to usb, or you could buy speakers that hook directly to the headphone jack and install a "Y" connector so both will work.
