Bloody Nora! You need to ask this question? I would love to bet you a thousand quid that it is NOT love from where he is standing. If the college find out he could get the sack and I hope he does. He is taking advantage of your youth and naivety, and you are going to get hurt. You'll probably find out that he is married.
38 year old blokes do not get together with 18 year old girls for love, unless by the word love he means 'I really love having access to your naked body'.
I know I sound unsympathetic, but I think you are being really gullible. Find someone in their 20's

Aside from the moral aspect, there's the question of ethics. Is he giving you a good grade because you are a good student? Or because you're good at "other" things. He could lose his job, his reputation, his tenure, if he has it. It's not worth it. If you two really love each other, wait until he is no longer your teacher. Then he can't get in any ethical trouble.

Ask him what would happen if his boss found out? Then suggest waiting until he isn't your teacher.

Good Luck,

Haha - well... yes, it is morally wrong and he could get into a hell of a lot of trouble.... but.... I dated my teacher for 2 years, so I can understand how you both feel.

You'll have left 6th form soon, so just see if you last the distance and don't listen to what anyone else says. Only you know what is right or wrong.

Just don't spread it around, unless you want him to lose his job or worse!

Whether you are a legal adult or not, your teacher has violated the ethics of his profession. Should you be caught by authorities, i.e. the administration of the school, he will lose his license to teach. You should take this into consideration. Would you deprive him of his career to be "in love"? Why couldn't you wait until he was no longer your teacher?

Another thing: if he has a thing for young girls, he may trade you in for a younger model. Are you ready for that?

it is wrong to date your teacher even if you to are in love. he is 38 and you are 18. ask yourself one thing if he gets you pregnant would you keep the child. and if you do will he stay with you. if he doesn't then most likely he doesn't love you. he might he might not. but you do have to ask your self that much. and for the 2 people in love, would you go to the end of the earth just to be with this guy. becuase if you would then that is true love, but would he do the same. will he ever cheat on you to be with some one his own age. i do have to ask you one thing though. r u head over heels for this guy. cause if you r then most likely you are going to fall straight on your ***. just saying.

Because he is in a positon of authority and trust.

It could be taken that you are trying to get better marks by dating him and also influence his teaching.

It is an ethical thing with persons in a positon of trust, such as teachers, preists etc. Basically it is understood he is taking advantage of you and maybe others.

Wait until he is no longer your teacher (you've finished the course), then have your fun.

It is against the principle of morals that a teacher is supose to have. A big conflict in interest. If he was not your teacher but a teacher from some other school then it would be different.

IF YOU ANSWER THIS HONESTLY,

Can he effect my academic progression?
Can it adversely effect his position?

while there should be secondary they are a requirement to live therefore necessary..- on the other hand if you have introduced him to your family, a great indicator of commitment then you go for it...i have quote for you,,,, it may be slightly wrong as the whiskey is kicking my face in....
its by Washington Irving::::
Love is never lost. If not reciprocated, it will flow back and soften and purify the heart.

think on ! be safe, but be young, at his stage he will want to settle where as you will have done little to achieve your once sought after goals..

I wish you all of the best! if he is the one then hold on for life!

Yes. Not only is it just kind of weird but it is illegal? If you love your teacher you would stop going out with him because if any administrators find out he will lose his job. In fact he won't be able to get a job as a teacher anywhere else. Please end the relationship now.

It's a kind of taboo for teachers to date students, something about the teacher abusing their position of authority to take advantage of a vulnerable, immature and starstruck student.

You're 18, so there's nothing illegal about it. I guess it's just breaking the cardinal rule of not sh1tting on your own doorstep.
