I recently started liking this guy that I've known for a while and I've been falling harder and harder for him as the days go by. So simply, I tried to see if he wanted to hang out sometime. I facebooked him asking him to study because he gets a better grade than I do in the class and he was nice about it but said:
"lol i don't devote any time to studying. sorry. :["
so should I just give up? He doesn't seem to show any interest in me and I just got out of a fling about 6 months ago where this guy treated me really badly, and I don't want that to happen again. Am I reading too much into or does he really just not study?

my guess is that he just doesn't want to study.

so ask him out to lunch or dinner or if he wants to hang out some time. much more to the point.

good luck.

I love the old joke:
fellow to girl ... and girl's answer.
would you like a drink? no.
would you like a cigarette? no.
would you like to go home with me? ok. lets go.

I suggest you put him out of your mind as fast you can. From what you have written doesn't seem to me that he shows you or intends to show you any intention dating not even for a fling. If your intentions of getting a new guy after just breaking up with a guy, I WOULD SUGGEST YOU WAIT FOR AT LEAST A COUPLE OF MONTHS. Getting together with someone too soon is like jumping back into the fireplace. Be a little more selective and take your time before dating again. Good Luck, Best to you, Butchrgt

as ive said i think you should brush that aside and see what he likes to do and try to participate for example if hes going to the cinema ask if he wants company something like that (its better if its just the two of you) and gage his reaction and if he still blanks you and shows no intrest find somebody else you feel comfatable with you know theres plenty more fish in the sea and im sure your attractive enough to dazzle them so research his intrests and take a gamble you got 50/50 chance of scoring (not in the dirty way lol)

Stop thinking so much. He may not be ready, able, or willing. You'll never know, and there's no point. But congrat's on having the gonads to make the move. Any guy should be flattered. Have a nice day. :-)

well to be honest, how do you know that you're really falling for him, i mean, have you guys hung out at all? you cant be falling for someone that you dont talk to or hang out with. i wouldnt give a guy attention if it seemed he was just blowing me off everytime i asked him to hang out. but maybe thats the problem. guys like the chase! so you asking him to hang out first would make it not fun for him to ask you out. let them come to you, it works i promise.

Well, it's certainly smart to keep your eyes open at all times, but don't pre-judge this guy by some nonsense the last guy did...you cheat yourself and others who would like to know you if you do that. Rate this situation on its own merits. Good luck to you.

He's not rejecting you at all, he just doesn't want to study.. Make sure you don't start a relationship during exams! Wait until after to try and hang out with him, trust me it'll start off much stronger.

Just ask him out on a date. See what he says to that.
