Ok for the confused. The grab bag at my office works like this. We are all required to put 3 items down with a maximum dollar value of $20.00. Most people opt for gift cards if they don't have a specific gift in mind. When the person pulls the name they already know what to get. Just wondering if its inappropriate for my gift card to be from Victoria Secrets.

Pff, I don't think its inappropriate if its what you really wanted. It's not like you asked for condoms.

A grab bag gift is a surprise, not a requested gift.

If you would like a Victoria's Secret Gift Card for Christmas, as your family or boyfriend or other friends.

It would be very inappropriate to request a certain gift.

grab bag is usually a secret santa kind of thing yes? or a pile of gifts for either men or women and you just grab one. how are you going to ask for a gift card?
also maybe the person who gets your name ( if that is the way it works in your office ) is going to make you something or find some thing nice on sale. I dont think you should ask for the monetary gift.

A grab bag gift is typically something generic that either a man or woman can use. So, in this case, I would say no.
