unless it's really old, like the '80s, it will scan for channels through the set-up menu. You may need the original remote for this.

If it is '80s vintage you will have to manually set the band range, vhf low (2-6) vhf high 7-13) or UHF (14 +) then turn the wheel manually until the station you want comes in.
