Mr Answer, I want you to define "false dichotomy", not quote the Bible.

Example: "There are only two possibilities: either I understand how a process works, or God did it. There are no other possibilities."

If you accept such a dichotomy then it follows that you can prove that God exists simply by maintaining a position of willful ignorance. This makes some people very happy.

I'd like to see a unified and plausible definition of God from them first...

A false dichotomy is a logical fallacy consisting of a supposed dichotomy which fails one or both of the conditions:
1. it is not jointly exhaustive
or
2. It is not mutually exclusive.

In its most common form, two entities are presented as if they are exhaustive, when in fact other alternatives are possible. thefalse dichomy comes in the denial of other possiblities

A simple example of a false dilemma is the following:

"You are either with us or against us. You have refused to join our cause, therefore you must be working against our cause."

This argument is a false dilemma, because it denies the possibility that there is someone who has no interest or is unaware of that cause.
