I think one-sided love will not exist for a long time. Love must be always double.

There is a difference between agape/unconditional love and romantic or marital love which is specific to unique partnerships.

Only with God's unconditional love, can you still love all people "unconditionally" as in caring for that person's soul, whether or not they respond one way or another. I recommend this unconditional type of love, which does not give expecting anything in return, and if you do expect something back it is best not to give so you don't harm the relationship.

The important thing in all relationship is to stick to what is mutual, what is balanced and natural that makes both people happy, and not to cross the boundaries by either giving or taking too much or too little. This harms the relationship and is not good for either person.

So true love is caring for both people's happiness and health, and sticking to that commitment to be honest and true. This works best in all relationships, whether they are friendship or romance, family or parents, professional or personal.

Once you establish a loving trusting relationship based on what works for both people, then both partners can better decide if they also have romantic or marital love on top of the natural spiritual love they have established first.

I think you can for a certain amount of time. but then your mindset will change. lasting love is a mutual thing. so in the long term, i would say no.

no, then it's just infatuation.. love is when two people are willing to do anything for eachother and be there until the world falls apart.

You can definitely love someone who doesn't love you. But maybe the line betwen love and wanting what you can't have can get blurred.
