i was innocently flipping thru the channels todays when i came upon this scene: 4 bunnies are tickling a squirrel who is lying on a log. as the squirrel reaches an ecstastic moment, sticky goo squirts into his face.

was it innocent or subliminal?

Older cartoons from the 70s, 80s and earlier, had a lot of subversive humour that was over the innocent heads of the kids at the time.
What you saw sounds like adult satire, nothing subliminal, sounds fairly direct

what was it called - mostly likely something political or current in the news

Haha.

Well, children don't really know the subliminal meaning behind it. But us adults, do. And I guess it could either make us laugh or offended. As a child, I never felt disgusted at any of the cartoons because I haven't really noticed that any of them were sexual or whatnot. Watching cartoons now, makes it more funnier. Since adults are writing it, I'm sure they find it amusing it add that stuff in to attract other adults.

I don't think there's any harm to it, as long as it's not obvious. And I'm sure kids aren't gonna go run around and lick each other and squirt goo in each other faces... I hope.

Entertainment these days!

I don't believe I've seen that cartoon.

I'm guessing that it's probably something like one of the Adult Swim cartoons, which although they are animated, are definitely intended for an adult audience.

From what I've seen, the only message kids cartoons are sending these days is "BUY OUR TOYS!!"

Which is really no different from the cartoons from when I was a kid (Smurfs, G.I. Joe, Transformers, etc.). It's just that now they all seem to revolve around weird card games.

Adults thought the same things about bugs bunny and the road runner years ago.

However, those cartoons had something for both children and adults. The cartoons today have nothing for adults and seem to be a bunch of screaming and inane action. I'm not sure I would let my kids watch them (if I had kids).

Off hand I would say you have some channels that are not available to the average joe without extra equipment and have no parintal lock outs. So, why DO you subscribe to porn sites?

He who controls the lock outs controls the morality of the nation!

The current cartoons do nothing but rot your brains. Keep your children away from them. Besides the creepy subliminal messages, watching hours of mindless drivel can't be good for them.

By the way, never eat burgers made by clowns.

i think there are really no innocent kids shows, and probably haven't been since i was a kid.

they are full of subliminal symbolism, consumerism, and downright brainwashing.

Hey if bunnies want to tickle me to ecstasy, then fine, let them do it. I am not against bunnies.

But they ought to keep their molasses out of my face.
