does black coffee lower your metabolism thus making you fat or does it make you loose weight since there is really nothing fatening in it?

let me clarify, i mean would it make you loose weight because you are substituting something fatty you would normally eat or drink with coffee.

Coffee doesn't make you fat or lower your metabolism. It is a mild diuretic though.

Not entirely sure. Anything in moderation, for the most part is okay. Also, consider that you're not adding sugar or creamer. So I'd say a cup or two in the morning shouldn't make much of a difference.

It won't make you 'lose weight'. It's not a weight loss tool.

But it won't make you gain, either.
