I got my ear cartillage in both ears pierced around a week ago and i've been feeling fairly ill since Tuesday. My temperature has gone up to 100.3 F, and i've been feeling fairly groggy. I've also had a lot of phlegm buildup in my throat and in general not beein feeling well. My ear cartillage is still sensitive to the touch, but I originally thought that that was simply because they were still recovering. Might these be symptoms of an ear infection? I've heard that fever is a symptom, yet I haven't had any discharge or odors coming from my ears, which is a more common symptom.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you are worried i would suggest checking with the person who pierced them or your doctor, but to me it almost sounds like you got sick coincidently when you got pierced. Generally you would expect discharge and heat coming from the piercing if it is infected.

Sounds more like an upper respiratory infection than anything to do with your piercings... Cartilage piercings take a lot longer to heal... Jut keep clean and medicate.

If the piercings aren't seeping or weepy then it sounds like a bug or cold to me. Drink plenty of fluids and rest. If you're not better in a few days, see your doctor. Get well soon x
