It was a gift from my grandmother that was a gift to her from her grandmother. I wear it to remind me of them. Nothing more.

It WAS Jesus who was crucified on the cross (not Judas.... he hung himself in a field).... and there's a difference between a cross and a crucifix. A crucifix shows Jesus hanging in agony on the cross..... I don't wear that. I wear an empty cross. A symbol of Christ's sacrifice in my place, and a reminder that He is no longer there.... He conquered death, rose from the dead and is alive in bodily form, and was taken up to Heaven. There is record of His crucifixion, so those who say there's no proof don't know what they're talking about. Also, there is recorded the accounts of over 500 witnesses who saw Him alive AFTER they saw Him crucified, and then rise to Heaven. Just because it was over 2000 years ago, doesn't mean those witnesses accounts are no longer valid. I wear my cross proudly as a symbol of what I believe and in Whom I believe.... the Risen Christ, who left behind an empty cross. And no, we don't know exactly what he looked like.... but how many movies are based on true stories with actors depicting the real people, and don't really look like those people????? All I care about is that I'll see Him face to face, what He REALLY looks like, in Heaven.

For a few it is only jewellery, decorations. It is now a style assertion which used to be perpetuated by means of the designers of Jewelry for the style enterprise. Too dangerous, however a few are very fantastically designed so I might now not brain dressed in one despite the fact that I am now not Christian. I exceptionally just like the celtic patterns. Hey Brennon S! Not relatively a contradiction seeing that Jesus (your savior) WAS Jewish so you're truthfully honoring HIS ideals!

Gal 6:14

I do not want to be proud of anything except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of the cross, the ways of this world are dead to me, and I am dead to them.

Real Christians dont show a cross with Christ hanging. They show an empty cross to celebrate the risen Lord and the vast majority of them know how to spell.

We believe in outward display of our inward devotion. We are proud to be identified by our icons and it is a sign to other christians we meet that we belong to the same body of faith. We don`t look on his agony as something ugly but the most beautiful thing in this world...an act of supernatural love...without it we were all damned to return to the dirt from which we came rather than the glory of heaven....poor Judas who in the end was possessed, chose death and eternal damnation rather than forgiveness from his Lord and Savior and eternal life.

It's their symbol. I'm Wiccan, I wear a pentacle proudly around my throat. The real question should be, why do they have a problem with other groups wearing their chosen symbols that promote peace and protection when theirs show promote the death of their 'savior'.

I used to wear the cross, because I had a cross given to me by someone very close, so it had emotional value

I wear mine as a symbol of the sacrifice that Jesus made for me. The one I have doesn't have the image of the body on it.

Because the cross is the symbol of our salvation.

What the hell? You think it was Judas on the cross? Why is that?

I personally don't care who it was, or if it even happened, but I am curious to know your perspective as I've never heard it before.
