That people who are staunchly and religiously anti-evolution don't even understand the concept of a scientific theory?
And that they come on here thinking we are going to take their opinion of science seriously?
They capitalize THEORY like they think it means a falsehood, or a guess. And then expect us to say "oh, yes, I see the light now!"
Lol.

sisterz, sadly, you proved my point. I think you are thinking of a hypothesis.

Bambino, it's not hard to learn the scientific method. You don't need to be an expert, and I don't claim to be, but it's a pretty basic concept taught in high school science class.

Actually, it is quite funny, and one of the above posters proves your point by stating twisted strawman theories... lol
What is the "theory that it rained on the rocks" and somehow created people... I've never heard that one before... lmao

I was under the impression that "theory" meant an explanation which best fits the known facts.
That's distinct from a "law" which is a repeatable and verifiable cause-and-effect relationship, or a "hypothesis" which is essentially an educated guess.
Evolution must inevitably be a theory, because it can never be empirically proven like a law. But it remains the explanation which best fits the facts, and ironically, the theory itself evolves as new facts become known. You have to love people who think the idea started and ended with Darwin.
As far as I can tell, creationism doesn't even rise to the level of hypothesis.
Peace to you.

I realize that you just want to rant and rave against Christians, and I'm sure I'll get a lot of thumbs down for this, but I think it's sad that evolutionists do NOT pay attention to proven scientific facts and forge on ahead anyway.
I have pointed this out again and again, but I will do it yet again.
First, the theory of evolution, originated by Charles Darwin, was neither scientific NOR logical.
He stated categorically that the cell is the smallest divisible part of a living thing.
He wasn't aware of the nucleus, the mitochondria, proteins or protein synthesis, DNA or RNA.
He DECIDED that the "undesignated" cells within the foetus could be "reformulated" by external stimulii, which brought about all the many different "kinds" and "species" of animals.
Try studying the way the DNA functions during protein synthesis or cell division!
Look at the way the mitochondria converts raw materials into usable energy within the cell by first using 1 or 2 units of energy, violating the laws of thermodynamics and entropy!
Darwin was scientifically wrong, and he used poor logic, to boot! Anybody who knows ANY thing about logic will tell you that if you begin with a false and faulty premise then the conclusion will also be wrong.
He was just sadly mistaken, but everybody jumped on the band wagon.
But it didn't end there!
I'm sure you have heard of the "piltdown" man? It was supposed to be the "missing link", but it was "discovered" by some over-zealous archeologists who previously had "planted" the evidence themselves (how's THAT for abusing the scientific method!) To make matters worse, they never bothered to study zoologoy or biology, or they would have known that they built their "piltdown" man from the tooth of a dead boar - a WILD PIG!
I mean, come on - let's get honest! This is evolution at it's brightest! Planting evidence? Whatever happened to honest inquiry and study?
With this in mind, how do you think ANY body could take the opinion of evolutionists seriously?
I could go on and on, but if you're at all honest in your thinking, you'll begin to re-evaluate your trust in the concept of evolution.

More sad than funny.
But I heard a funny one. Some of those people are now trying to explain the problem of the existence of dinosaur bones but no mention of them in the Bible:
"Many preachers believe that Lucifer operated a kingdom upon the earth prior to Genesis 1:2. "
Dinosaurs are minions of evil!

In science there is not greater achievement than to have a hypothesis rise to the level of theory, from which accurate predictions are repeatedly made.

I love how they come on here thinking they've discovered a brilliant point or something. And they act all smug and arrogant about it as if they know what they're talking about. It's sad, but funny at the same time.

We know what a scientific theory is. The probability of the theory apparently goes up if there is some scientific (partial) evidence (yet non conclusive) involved in the theory. Why should we give it more credit when most atheist refuse to give theologians more credibility than the masses? Fair is fair. but just so you know we do understand the concept.
The theory that it rained on the rocks Millions of years and that is where we came from, scientific theory or not is apparently just as hilarious to me as the idea of God creating the world is to you. so there you go.

What I think is funny, is that because you call yourself a non-believer, you somehow have superior scientific knowledge.
