If you are an English speaker, they would be in order of easiness: 1) French 2) Hebrew 3) Japanese. Chinese and Vietnamese would be still harder.

However, easiness and hardness are not necessarily the only factors involved. A lot of it has to do with motivation too.

For example. I study Romance languages as a hobby. Romanian is the most difficult of the Romance languages. Yet, I know more Romanain than I do French, Spanish or Italian. This is because I always found Romanian to be the most interesting of the Romance languages.

It's the same thing in your case. If you are highly motivated to learn Hebrew or Japanese but not French, you will actually make more progress in one of the latter two languages.

the easiets will be french, next hebrew and the hardest japanese. But why bother learning hebrew? Its useless outside of Israel, no technology is published in hebrew and its a waste of time. The only people studying it are children up to age 13 who want bar mitzvah in Judaism, and after that, they dont study it any more as they recognize its useless in life.

It wouldn't be that hard if you really study and can memorize things easily. I've studied French and Spanish, and those two weren't hard at all. I'm not sure how hard Hebrew and Japanese would be, but they certainly would be harder than French. If you set your mind to learn them, you will learn them.

French is not that hard to learn since it is a romance language.
Hebrew and Japananese are really hard, or at least I am guessing so because of the different alphabets. If you can learn them, more power to you! Japanese, to me, is a beautiful language... I wish I could learn it!

French is super close to Espanol (Spanish) and that should be easy for you. Hebrew is close to Greek.. The only reason I say this is because I know them both! You'll have them down in no time flat....Learn them (if you can) at the same time! I did and it works, your brain will love it! And see if you can get real live tutors, maybe like at some restaurants close to you.
