I am planning on losing 5-10 pounds in a month. I currently weigh 119, and my height is 5'5. I would like to weigh 110-115. I started my school swim team, which practices everyday for an hour and a half. I plan on eating healthier, and going to the gym on the weekend. Is this a reasonable weight goal?

It's completely reasonable, so don't worry. If you're using the 1200 calorie a day diet, you could healthily loose 10 pounds a month.

You will find that swimming will really tone your body. If you are competing on a swim team you will need to keep up your strength and endurance.

Being underweight is not an advantage in swimming if you do not have endurance.

I do not want to preach, BUT, you weight is already very low for some one your height. Since you will be exercising so much you are going to look great without taking off any weight.

A more reasonable goal would be to gain 2 or 3 pounds.

I think you should stay the weight you are. It sounds good to me. Dieting sometimes gets young women into trouble.
