Do not shave dry. Or too harshly.

The other day I shaved with some hair conditioner (it is in a tube and thick and very slippery.) It worked really well.

The most common cause of razor burn is incorrect shaving. In the quest to get a close shave by the the use of an extra sharp twin or triple blade or by applying too much pressure while shaving or shaving against the ‘grain’ of the hair growth or by continuing to use an old blade. But often razor burn is a result of improper lubrication of the skin. Now I´ve found the perfect solution. I started massaging my face quite thoroughly with olive oil before shaving and instead of using shaving creams, which I think are not good for the skin and a waste of money, I simply applied a body lotion on top of the oil and I get the best shave you could ever have. Also the oil is a natural healer .Since using on my face my skin has become much less sensitive and if I do cut myself cut heals really quick. You do not need to remove oil - in any case most gets absorbed into skin - and you do not need after shave products, which also are not good for the skin and not worth the money -or anything else. Simply wash off face with water and pat dry with tissues or towel. Try it - you will be happy that you did.

razor burn comes from shaving too fast or to close to the skin. you have to take your time and DO NOT push hard on the skin. it also helps to put lotion on your legs and just be patient. hope i could help : )

I used to have that problem until I started rinsing with really cold water. I also use a good face scrub before shaving and that opens up my pores, creating less abrasion. Good luck!
