Hello.
I was hoping to go on a week-long tour around England. Is there a travelcard which would last for a week which would allow unlimited rail travel around England? If so, how much would it cost for a student (16 years old)?
Thanks.

Yes you can buy an "All Line Rail Rover" which costs £245 for 7 days if you have a 'Young Persons Rail Card' which costs £20. The All Line Rover is valid on all rail services excluding the London Underground, Heathrow Express and Eurostar trains to Paris and Brussels. You can purchase an All Line Rover at most large railway stations in Britain.
However, you might find there are cheaper options available by purchasing a rail pass in advance before you leave your country of origin. Enquire with travel agents who specialise
in British travel. The rail network in Britain is extremely dense
encompassing many scenic lines in the most beautiful rural parts of England,Wales and Scotland. To make the most of your time I would recommend pre-planning your journeys using the website www.nationalrail.co.uk
