Because that is what faith is all about. If everything were explained defined, there would be no faith; it would be acceptance as fact. I'll quote Hebrews 11:1 to show what I mean: "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." It's what is beautiful about the mysteries and what amazes me, personally, how we have faith in what can NOT be explained. God Bless!

It's how people have been raised along with having a genetic inheritance to have a propensity to believe. I would think there is a lot of "follow the crowd" going on as well.
Edit: Robert, Science explains how and why on so many more levels than you could ever imagine.
And judesp25 you haven't a clue about science do you? You need to educate yourself about the scientific method. Absolutely no part of any religion stands up to science. Talk about the kettle calling the pot black...!

There are many followers of many faiths simply because it is a necessity and a desire to have something in which to believe and provide hope. Scientific evidence is not a requirement, nor is it necessary.

In the Christian faith there is no mystery. Second, there is more scientific evidence I could list than space would allow.

No scientific evidence for what, exactly?
And how much do you believe in without needing scientific evidence?

Christianity offers a person a sense of purpose and fulfilment. It provides morals. Even if there IS no God, is it not better to live a fulfilled life, a 'good' life, than to have no morals?

It is a faith if there was evidence it would simply be a fact.
The reason so many Christians seek proof is that their faith is weak!!!!!

well lady if you think there is no scientific evidence then you are an idiot..... like i just told someone else...educate yourself first and then ask your question...... there is scientific evidence... just look it up on the internet.... its not that hard.... and if your not even intending to look it up then why even ask the question.....

because most people don't understand science. They understand their emotions which incline them to believe in their faith. Science will never support belief in a higher power because science supports science without any agenda.
