I have been walking in the indescribable Presence of God after I returned to the Garden and Kingdom of God after my salvation and subsequent spontaneous, involuntary Baptism of the Holy Spirit on March 13. Yet Jesus Christ says there will be times when we will seek Him and not find Him, times of drought. I have had a spiritual abundance of the Presence of God (Holy Spirit/Shechinah) since my Baptism, and see God present in everything I do and the entire world that I perceive.

Yet, I read someone on here who had the Presence leave them after 7 years and then they had to walk by faith. This would scare me, although I have faith in God, to not dwell in His Presence for the rest of my life.

After your Baptism and indwelling (enlightenment), has the Presence of God left you for any reason? When? If so, did it ever come back or did you ever recover it?

thanks

God never leaves us though we can reach a state where we no longer know him.
Yes I did at one time in my life lose sight of God who was with me but I was unaware of him
Praise be to God that he led me back into a closer relationship with him.

No, I believe, the 7th year is for canceling debts... something like that.. but anywho, God doesn't ever leave you... because He has always been with you. You just go through a phase in your life where you begin to know Him truly and He get's to know a for sure way of communicating with you.

I speak from experience. This is the point where He begins to test you.. TEST meaning... not put you TO the test but to test what you know, on how to communicate.. whether it be signs, miracles, TIMING... (that's one of my communication aspects with Him), people "saying" certain things to you as if GOD Himself were speaking to you.. (this is cool cuz when that happens.. it's like God is telling you something) the thing with Him putting people in your life at that point (when He uses other people to communicate to you, then you know that that person is ALSO apart of God's Will.. ) whether that person believes in God or not, they are still apart of something that "tests" His children...ALSO, with me, He uses things with numbers in something too.. such as dates.. like my mom's b-day is the 11, my sister's is the 13th, my brother past away the 15.. all in the same month.
Those numbers = 39
my birthday august (8) 31 = 39
3+9 = 12 (holy number) 1+2= 3 (3 has always been my favorite number) but my point being.. you'll find what works for you, you just need to not have expectations... just an open mind!

I have put up some more teachings about faith and miracles...

Joshua 1:5b states, "As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you." As believers, we all have 'mountain top experiences' where we feel so close to God we think we couldn't survive without that feeling. However to walk in emotion rather than faith is dangerous territory to tread. We all, inevitably, will end up back in tha valley. Psalm 23:3 states, "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." We will be in the valleys, but God will always be with us. You're on top of a mountain right now, and it won't last forever. God's presence isn't a 'magical' experience that just happens. If you are dilligent to keep in His word and walk in His ways, He will NEVER forsake you. If you feel separated from God (which I've been through), it's not God who's backed away, it's you. I've been there, done that, and I know, through good times, and through the roughest imaginable, God is always with me, and I can always turn to Him. Sometimes He answers in silence.... He's big on teaching patience.... to wait for His will to be done, for His answer to be heard. Guard your heart and your mind, because the Devil can also appear as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). He can do well to deceive us into thinking we are having God-like experiences.... that's why we are to test the spirits (1 John 4:1). Even speaking in tongues can come from the devil.... and you know this by whether or not it conforms to Biblical principles. Be aware of your feelings.... don't get caught up in them. Focus on the WORD of God, and He'll keep you on the right path (Proverbs 3:6). God's blessings to you and I pray that God will give you wisdom, knowledge and faith in abundance.
Also, please don't just read those few verses.... read the surrounding ones.... STUDY God's word (Psalm 119:11, and surrounding verses). Keep God's word in your heart. God bless.

1. you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit upon your acceptance
of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. 2. Baptism, when we go through the waters of baptism we are obeying God's command which sets forth our identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection [Matthew 28:17-20].

3. It is God that seeks us.
The garden I look for is eternity in Heaven.

For today and each day that God grants me on this earth I must
walk by faith with my Saviour Jesus Christ.

Apparently even Mother Teresa and other highly religious individuals experience the occasional "absence of presence". God doesn't actually depart and leave you barren, but rather He gives you space and time to travel the roads you have chosen and make decisions based on faith. It would be unrealistic to expect God's constant presence in order to continue believing. Instead one can cherish those times when one is blessed with His presence, and await with peace the next encounter.

It's called consolation and desolation. God does appear to leave you, to test you, to test your faith. Those are the times when it is most important to remain in prayer; in fact to increase your prayer and your spiritual life.

For most of us, consolation does return at some point, although there is no telling when. Only God decides when the the purification is over.

For a few, it never did return, and that is the greatest test of all. It takes incredible perserverance to maitain, which no one can do without having been given the graces to enable them.

We begin to leave God, not the other way around.
