People are attracted by the different, the odd, the obscene, the horrendous -- look how everyone goes slowly by an accident scene -- rubber necking as they say. No it isn't good, it is rude and ill mannered. People don't stare.

It happens to me a lot - because I choose to wear bowties and I get a lot of people staring at me and giving funny smirks etc. However there are also those that smile and compliment me too - everyone is different in some way - I think it's rude to stare!

It's very rude and impolite. People stare because they're not used to seeing different people and it's so ignorant.

I don't think it is ever good to stare. It just seems rude to me. I hope I am not guilty of this.

Human nature, staring is considered rude but most people do it so dont let it bother you.

Human nature. While our parents teach us ettiuqette, we are still nothing bu mammals (as Eminem has so keenly noted).
