I used to, but then I realized what a fairy tale that sounds like.

It is not a fairy tale. It is the word of God.
It was and is all apart of God's perfect plan for our eternity. We have to endure and grow here to prepare for life where we choose in the etenity. I choose heaven! I live for Him. I feel for those who choose to burn. They are fools for sure.

It was not a snake. The word serpent in the Hebrew means,"bright and shiny one'. The reason Adam and Eve were deceived by Satan was because, as far as we know, he was the most beautiful creation/ Angel God ever created. After the fall of Satan the Bible does not indicate that Lucifer ever lost his beauty.

Adam and Eve were operating at a 100% brains capacity and were used to speaking to God and Angels, so when this most beautiful Creature arrived on the seen he was able to intelligently deceive both of them, not just Eve. In Genesis it states after Eve ate of the tree,"and Adam with her also ate". You see Adam was statnding right there when Lucifer was convincing both Adam and Eve to eat of the tree. We blame Eve, but Adam was given the command from God not to eat of this tree or you will surely die. Adam should have stopped what happened and did not.

The fruit they ate was not an apple but a fruit of one kind, never produced again. the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil.

Man Fell from Glory into Slavery and Shame because he Listened to Woman. This is the underlying truth and it is repeated throughout the scriptures

The story doesn't all have to be based in truth. But I feel that it is a story of God testing man as to whether man would obey him. I don't believe that there is evil because of them. I believe that is why we feel ashamed when we are naked and vulnerable. I also believe that that is why Jesus sacrificed himself for our sins so that we are forgiven for a sin. If we truly seek repentance.

No.
Classic misconception. That story wasn't a fairy tale, and it was never meant to be read as history. That's like calling Animal Farm a mere fairy tale because animals can't talk.

If you put it like that, of course it sounds stupid! You've condensed it so much that the main points are missing. Fully aside the fact that the snake was in fact Satan, the important part's of Genesis 3 are that Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate from the tree, which gave them knowledge of good and evil. Evil wasn't created, it's just that Adam and Eve didn't know evil untill they ate from the tree.

yes i do believe it because i have read and understand how this came about. i understand that Lucifer who was once the angel of light and one of the most beloved angels became jealous and proud and thought himself to be as holy as GODS son JESUS.because of jealousy and pride he started lying to the other angels in heaven and one third were deceived by him as they trusted him, this is how he became Satan.Satan hated GODS new creation of Earth and Adam and Eve so he tricked the woman, and Adam knowingly took the fruit from Eve because of his love for her he knew what he did was wrong but Eve was deceived!!! it is too complex to tell all in one question but all you need to know is in the holy bible! bless you!

it's more likely to believe that there's evil in the world because people -believe- a naked woman talked to a snake.
