You are suppose to start out the next life fresh like a baby. Your spiritual balance and strength, and your areas of interest will go with you. In a new life, even if you could somehow access your old knowledge, it would not be in harmony with what is accepted by society, and people arround you. Knowledge is always changing as is language. It is better to just start over, since a young mind can learn very fast, what it has a desire to know. To remember a past life, would be more of a distraction, than a benefit. We need to focus on this reality, we're in right now.

If you believe in the soul-type reincarnation, it all depends on what you believe when you die. You may not come back, but at least you died happy and thinking you would.

On the other hand. When your body decomposes (rots) it will chemically change into food (fertilizer) for plants and other living things. Your body will do some good forever. Remember. In one way or another you will be forever.

But you are put into a box and sealed in a concrete vault...well. Let's just say it will take a heck of allot longer to do anything any good.

I don't believe reincarnation works that way. We choose our parents and the situation we are born into before coming into the Earth to satisfy things our soul needs to learn. We are here on Earth to experience and learn in ways that are not possible in the spiritual. I don't think we can just pop in and out unless your soul has mastered everything like Jesus or Budda.

there are no official "laws" in relation to reincarnation, at least not that we know of, because it is extremely hard to prove. there are theories that say it depends on what stage your soul is at for you to recall your past lives. often, children remember their past lives, and then forget as they grow up.
