Ok let me provide a simple example. An atheist is building a house and accidentally hits his finger with a hammer, who's to blame? I would say (most) atheists blame God. If you don't believe in a God then why blame one for your problems? And if you don't blame God then who do you blame? I think this is enough evidence to prove that God is God because I don't hear people blaming Muhammad, Allah or some other made up God.

Great question, and good point ...I'm sure that seeing all the towers fall on 911 many of them cried Oh my God , and right before they witness a terrible accident , they will utter those same words ..probably without a thought.... I've heard it said say we do that because it is our "soul" ((which I'm sure they don't believe in either)) crying out...I don't think they are hypocrites tho' they seem to be very devoted to thier cause ...woot-woot..to the point of they live what they say...good luck today with all of your answere I am sure ones will be mean ..And so it goes..just keep it fun! oh and "God bless you"........Leah

First of all, an atheistic person will not blame god, because they do not believe god exists. Why would atheistic people blame anyone in the first place? It was an accident, nobody caused it. Perhaps we might exclaim "God damn it!!" which is just an expression. The word "god" does not hold any significance in the phrase. It is just a common colloquilism, nothing more. Second of all, "allah" is not "some other made up God" because "allah" is the arabic word for "god." They believe in one god, just like Christians do. Therefore, it is the same god and you believe in the same god as the Muslims do. Moreover, Muslims "blame God" (as you say) just as much as Christians do. You don't speak Arabic do you? No, so how would you be able to discern whether they were doing so or not? Do a little research and produce some cognitive thought before asking a pointed question like that next time.

If I hit my finger with a hammer, I blame myself; this was true when I was a Christian and now that I'm an atheist. I don't blame anyone for my problems as they are verifiably my problems.

I don't blame an imaginary being for natural occurrences like disasters or disease. Doing so masks the real causes and prevents solutions.

Edit:
Let's review: based on an assumption that a very small population of the world blames your god for htting their own finger with a hammer this is proof that your god exists? What about all the other people in the world that have no concept of your god and blame some other deity or evil spirit, does that prove their belief?

So why do you generalize? Have you polled every atheist to make sure this is what they say? I'll dare say you haven't.

Some use the word 'god' as a general phrase of being annoyed or surprise and some, like myself, don't use the word at all. I have much more colorful phrases to use when I have need of it.

I hear more theists blaming deities for the ills in their life than I do atheists. After all, why would an atheist blame something that isn't real.

What kind of question is that??

makes no sense because why would you think that someone would even blame god for such an act? They would blame themselves. if not, then its still possible for them to blame their own God which can be Allah etc.

A religious hypocrite is someone who is neither devout toward a single faith or no faith. Some atheists may be hypocrites but then they aren't really atheists.

Like a person who claims to have faith and attends some form of religious service but does not practice what is preached within that place once they leave or on the flip side a person claiming to have no faith that attends religious services.

Many atheists attend religious weddings and funerals, so perhaps they could be considered hypocrites.

Atheists are hypocrites because deep inside they know there is God, although they do not wish to acknowledge that fact, because they do not want to be accountable to their Creator.
In truth, those who denounce the fact that Jesus is Christ are in fact speaking the antichrist spirit. It is certainly the easier route for those who pretend that they are atheists. One way to prove the existence of God is the fact that there is spiritual warfare. Satan's only way of building his reality is through his ability to place thoughts in everyone's minds. Think about this constantly: does this thought line up with God's word or not? Left unchecked, those thoughts will build a stronghold or reality in your life. The way to prove that God is more powerful than the devil is this: God has granted Believers in Christ authority over the devil. We have the ability to speak the Word of God and banish all evil thoughts and satan's strongholds and influence over our lives! Out of unchecked human thought come the worst and vile fruits such as murder, genocide, child rape and all sin and failure. True confidence and success come from God. Jesus said that if you truly believe and doubt not, you could say to a mountain move into the sea and it wil do so.
Once a believer is filled with The Holy Spirit they cannot be filled with the antichrist spirit.
The Holy Spirit works in our lives to mold us into the image of Christ. Perfect and fully one with God.

Why would I blame your god if I hit my finger with a hammer? I'm just as likely to say any number of expletives when I do, but I'm not "blaming" someone named "f*ck" any more than I'm blaming your god.

By your logic, there must be some deity out there by the name of F*ck or Sh!t, because people "blame" that deity whenever they hurt themselves.

I do not know ONE SINGLE atheist who blames god for anything they do. When I hit my finger with a hammer, I say "OH F*CK!" and make sure I pay more attention to what I am doing in the future.

A very silly generalisation, this.

What do you mean, most atheists would blame God? If that was me, I'd know it was my own fault. Even if God existed, he'd have better things to do than slam hammers on the fingers of us atheists.
