I'm sending an email to someone called Terri Lomax and I don't know whether this is a man's name or a woman's name. I don't know if I've to use Mr. or Ms. Plz. help.

I'd say woman.

All the men Terrys I've known were with a y.

If you don't want to mess up, just write Dear Terri Lomax. OK I just read the last post with the link, definitely go with "Dr. Lomax".

It could be a name for a woman and for a man, but more used for a woman, but making no mistake address that person with: Dear Terri ...

Terri with an I has always been a female name. With a y is a guy name.
