You should go. I couldn't dance either, but eventually it is inevitable. Dancing is just about being yourself. Look up some safe dance steps and practice them. Dancing is about confidence, if you think you can dance well then others will think so too. Go to the dance. There are millions of dances you are going to have to go to, so might as well start now.

Don't miss out on the fun simply because you can't dance. It's a great opportunity to socialize and have someone teach you. Most of the others will be more worried about their own dancing capabilities than yours. You might get a friend to give you a couple of lessons before the dance, if it would help you be more comfortable going.

Dancing from my experience isn't really learned. I think that a person just simply knows how. If you move to the music, catch the beat, you'll do just fine. If you're really worried about it, play music in your room and practice dancing in front of the mirror. But, I don't think that you shouldn't go just because you feel like you don't know how to dance.

No you should most definately go. Have fun. Dacning is fun even if you cant a lot of my friends cant dance worth a flip but they still go to every single dance. Dancing comes naturally like everything else in life. You gotta go with the flow. Let loose the worst kind of dancing is uptight dancing when your trying you hardest not to make of fool of yourself. Have fun!
Hope i helped! :)

Just go out there and have fun! No one can dance at those things, trust me. They don't teach school-dance-style dancing in dance classes, so the only advantage one has is having rhythm!

okay i know how you feel. I don't know how to dance either. I feel like a was born in the wrong decade cuz in 1980 all you did was jump around but now its all grinding and stuff like that and i can't do that so when i go dancing and things like soilder boy comes on i get out of the way. But on other songs i just stand and swing my hips back and forth. (not grossly) LOL. YOU should just go and just sway or something! you'll regret not going.

No one know's how to dance, we dance however our body moves, however we feel, WE THINK we can dance.
Don't be ashamed to go on that dance floor and work with what ya mama gave ya!
And if she didn't give you nothing, act crazy, they'll think you do that for the fun of it, but on the other hand, who cares what people think, have the time of your life!

nope, just make it up, as a guy, i've never thought less of a girl who doesn't look like she knows what she is doing. also, most of the guys at a school dance won't know how to dance either. just go have fun, and respect yourself, don't dance dirty.
