I need to take 1 S-video cord and 1 set of HDTV cords and split them to two different places (a flat screen and a projector). What can do I do to split both signals? Is there some kinda box that I can buy with one in and multiple outs?

You can buy splitters for both S-video and HDMI.

Make sure the HDMI splitters support HDCP.
Make sure the S-video splitter has an audio splitter as well (RCA)

Component only transmits analog video signals. Better go with HDMI. http://schoolofhdtv.com/

S-Video won't giv you HD resolution. You will need either Component Video or HDMI.
