I think it shows that we've got a really creative God, and He's got a sense of humor. Mimicking calls and fooling that other bird... :-) God bless!

I don't have any idea what that has to do with creation, to Christians or anyone else. It is an absolutely amazing bird, but by far not the only amazing bird. And not even the only mimic; if you have ever heard and watched a mockingbird on a spring morning, doing pirouettes and acrobatics in the air and singing everything he has ever heard, every bird on two continents (North and South America, I am sure), cell phones, computers, music boxes (would you believe Lara's Theme, from Dr. Zhivago?!, once), yes, car alarms, bells, and cats, even., you know what a delightful treat it is. And the mocker is not the only avian mimic, there are many others. Sure, it is one of the creatures of the Divine, but in the grand scheme of things, what does this one particular bird have to do with anything? And yes, it is absolutely true.

Nice bird. Amazing that you ask if its true when you're posting on an excellent resource for finding out information, simple google and read several articles about the species.

It's true. David Attenburough is too. From giving Monty Python their first show on the BBC to being the most travelled man in History to being the top narrator in the world, he is a wonder himself.

But as for the bird, I see no need for a supernatural explanation. Maybe you should define just what laws of physics prevent it from being natural.

I'm left wondering what prompted the thumbs down on my answer. My e-mail is open if you would like to help me improve on whatever it was that made it a bad answer in your opinion.

We serve a mighty, awesome, and imaginative God. It sure would take several "billion" years to evolve these talents that this bird exhibits.

It is true.

It is amazing.

What does it prove or disprove about creation?
