I think there is a typo: the 6th word should read, 'verraten' (lit. 'betray'.
The sentences then read:
'You don't want to let on what your costume looks like either.
That is supposed to be a surprise!'

Not sure if it has to be a costume, maybe any outfit. It could possibly also be "They don't want to tell me what your costume looks like" since at the beginning of a sentence "they" and one of the "you"s are the same.
