There is in fact a typo! verrater should be verraten. Thank you Crimson Rambler!

I think there is a typo: the 6th word should read, 'verraten' (lit. 'betray'.

The sentences then read:

'You don't want to let on what your costume looks like either.
That is supposed to be a surprise!'

You don't want to tell me ahead of time what your costume looks like! That should be a surprise!

Not sure if it has to be a costume, maybe any outfit. It could possibly also be "They don't want to tell me what your costume looks like" since at the beginning of a sentence "they" and one of the "you"s are the same.

I am german living in America, so here is the correct answer:

You aren't gonna tell me what your custom will look( or be) like. It is supposed to be a surprise!

the structure is all wrong, but I assume that it originated from an online translator.

it basically means.

Don't tell me what your costume looks like, i want it to be a surprise.
