It is not caused by humans. Though, humans are polluting the air and adding carbon dioxide to the atmosphere, but the effect is tiny.
There is no credible evidence that it is due to mankind and carbon dioxide. We've been coming out of a "Little Ice Age" for 300 years. We have not been making very much carbon dioxide for 300 years. It's been warming up for a long time.

By proving it is a natural cycle, our taxes stay low and we can search for alternative energy technology without destroying our economy.
By the way, everyone agrees CO2 is playing some role. The only question is how much of a role. It appears oceanic oscillations play a much bigger role than CO2. When the Pacific Decadal Oscillation is in its warm phase, the Earth get warmer (like it did from 1905 to 1945 and from 1975 to 2006). When the PDO is in a cool phase, the Earth cools (like it did from 1945 to 1975).
The El Nino Southern Oscillation (ENSO) also plays a role. When the PDO and ENSO are both in a warm phase (as in 1998 and 2006), it can get quite warm indeed.

Because global warming alarmists are trying to scare you out of your socks. And then out of your money. We've saved the whales, now we need to save the planet? This is probably the biggest lie since the Church insisted that the earth was flat. Record high temperatures, record low temperatures, all this is normal. They keep saying 'highest temperatres on record'. The record is only a few decades old in most cases. We have more ancidotal and estimated data going back a few centuries. So we're going to change the course of human history, bankrupt nations, all for century old data of a multi billion year old world? Not if I can help it.

because showing global warming as a natural cycle, to which all the evidence points, it disproves the myth that man can effect global climate.

It IS a natural cycle. The polar bears aren't in danger, Arizona won't soon be oceanfront property and the sky is not falling.

What dana said. If we were to prove it was a natural cycle government would be happy becuase they could continue to waste fossil fuels.

If the public knew it was natural, then politicians wouldn't be able to raise their taxes and place limits on people's freedoms.
Politicians and their tools from the pseudo scientific community need to make the people believe that it's their fault, and only they can save us from ourselves.
For the politicians and pseudo scientist, it's a win-win situation.

If it were a natural cycle, then there would be nothing we could do about it, and we could just go on burning as much fossil fuels as we wanted (until they run out).
