Did you just say that you owe some doctor a mountain of money and you want to weasel out of paying? And you are worried that will ruin your credit rating? And you want us to pay your bills for you?

Those of us who live in the real world have those same bills too. There are very few who are debt free and most people are sinking into a credit trap. The credit ratings and tracking of deadbeats is something done to protect the rest of us from those who want to "clear up their credit without paying."

1. Get a copy of your credit report. It is free from http://www.annualcreditreport.com.
2. If the credit report shows bills for medical care that you did receive, contact your insurance company and ask why they did not pay those bills.
3. The medical bills on your credit report are someone else's, send the credit bureau a written letter in which you (1) "dispute" (use that exact word) that the bills are yours and (2) demand that they tell you their "source" for the information. By law, (1) if they cannot verify the disputed information, they must remove, (2) on your request, they must tell you the source of the information, and (3) if they violate either of the above, you can sue them.
