i got the part on how to plug your camera to your computer then what do you do

1) Plug the camera into the computer using the USB cable.
2) Open the user's manual and read the rest of the steps required for downloading photos into your computer.
3) Follow those instructions.

Have you studied the manual? You probably need to install a driver, which is a program, from the CD that came with your camera, so the computer will be able to communicate with it.

I assume that it uses a memory card. It's probably easier if you remove the memory card, and transfer the photos to your camera with a memory card reader. They are pretty cheap. Make sure you get the kind that fits your memory card. You will not need to install any software for a memory card if you use current version of operating system (be it Windows or Mac). Get one that supports USB 2.0 and not USB 1.1. USB 2.0 (hopefully your computer has an USB 2.0 port) is much faster.

I don't plug my camera into the computer for that reason.
