I don't have HDTV (it's too expensive for me). Graphics are amazing on my 25" 100Hz flat CRT TV. Much better than PS2.

The PS3's graphics are way better than the PS2's graphics and you don't need an HDTV. I use a CRT T.V. with component cables and the graphics are awesome. Believe me, you will be able to see a big difference in the graphics from the PS2.
That other guy that said that there is a slight difference obviously doesn't have a PS3, because there is a big difference.

Yes, you can definitely tell the difference, the PS3 is a lot more powerful than the PS2 so the graphical jump is visible.

You can play on a non-HDTV (I am right now) and you will still see the improved graphics. The difference is slight in my opinion because the HD graphics are a little more sharper.

You can tell a slight difference in that the character models and textures are higher quality so things will look somewhat smoother, but without an HDTV you won't really notice that much of a difference as the limiting factor is (by far) the TV's resolution and not the quality of the graphics output by the machine.

yes, the HDTV would make things look crisper and better but the PS3 is pushing MUCH higher poly count and better shaders and textures in general...i play my PS3 on an HDTV at home and an SD at my friends house, and it looks significantly better than a PS2 on both televisions

Obviously the Sony PlayStation 3 has better graphics. Television resolution doesn't matter, and people here can't give a reasonable answer to your question.
