Nice to have you back.

I find the best place is in the shower each morning. I have guilty pleasure to spend an extended time with hot water running down my back. I can take the time as isolated from the world as possible. While there I can pray and meditate. I can get a better answer to a question I answered yesterday.

Whew. Nothing like going for the jugular dear Debra. So glad you are back., I always think of you as one who "lives" in a place such as Petra. A woman of the desert of open space - of aloneness yet at the same time with at one ment.
And close to God almost as a contemplative. 3 things immediately come to mind. Usually after fasting. 3 places - Salisbury Cathedral at Evensong. Secondly - sailing alone on the ocean at night when the stars sit as diamonds on the velvet black sky and the moon illuminates like a lamp. And at times on Bulbarrow Hill in the mist or walking Chesil Beach when no one else is there. The sound of the waves lapping on the shore and the vista showing the ocean where man has not yet managed to destroy by building. But sometimes even driving in the desert in the Middle East and there is no one there but there is so much there. Prayer comes as talking with a friend with Whom I spend too little time. Listening to the works of Byrd or Tallis or other spiritual musicians. Being still and listening to the silence.

Recharge? Fast. read the Word. and pray when you least feel able to - when you are broken as He was. God is always with you. But we forget this. Thanks and peace be unto thee.

I feel the most spiritual when I'm interacting in some creative way with other people. Usually playing music. There's a moment during jam sessions where the intent of everyone becomes crystal clear and we start moving as a single entity. Quite incrediable!

I've found that being in the desert naturally makes me pray. I sent some time in the Mojave. I've talked with God quite alot in the desert.

peace regards respects

In the mornings as the sun is rising, and in the evenings as the sun is setting. Also, it depends on the seasons, and the weather.

I feel the most alive when it is thunder storming outside.

Places such as forests, desert and the ocean are very spiritual. I even like being in caves. Anything that has to do with natural surroundings. If you have a Japanese style garden in your hometown, I suggest you go their often in the spring.

I can feel recharged spiritually when my arms are submerged in warm soapy water as I wash the dishes, or as I fold the laundry warm still from the dryer. As I stand outside and feel the wind on my skin, notice the wildlife and growing plants all around me I feel God's life in me and all the world. In following my breath in and out, I pray. Just thinking on these things keeps me in the 'mode of prayer' for we are to 'pray without ceasing'. Thank you for the moment to reflect and realize this abundant blessing - prayer.

Sometimes when hearing or singing hymns at Mass or elsewhere
sometimes in a beautiful place;a church,a lake,woods, mountains etc
sometimes when helping the sick or needy
sometimes in total silence
sometimes out of the blue anywhere
sometimes with children or really old people

I recharge my spirits by talking a walk or jog, by sitting in front of the Blessed Sacrament,by reading the Bible, saints'lives or Catechism, by listening to beautiful music or looking at moving art, esp. icons,by talking to spiritual advisors,by talking to God,by chanting or singing hymns

Prayer is something you must do at all times, people need to take prayer breaks during the day and night, pray for the good as well as the bad, sickness and good health, prayer of thank you is most important as if your prayer has already been answered I fine a lot of time while driving to pray.

I love to read the accounts of impossible odds in the bible and of the men and women who use the power of their faith in God to see them through. Reading about David going out to meet Goliath armed with only a slingshot and Jehovah as his helper. With God all things are possible. Your works are wonderful,
As my soul is very well aware.
For you yourself produced my kidneys;
You kept me screened off in the belly of my mother
My bones were not hidden from you
When I was made in secret,
When I was woven in the lowest parts of the earth
Your eyes saw even the embryo of me,
And in your book all its parts were down in writing,
As regards the days when they were formed
And there was not yet one among them.
So, to me how precious your thoughts are!
O God, how much does the grand sum of them amount to!
Were I to try to count them, they are more than even the grains of sand. Don't you just love that !!! I am like Amos Get excited people Get ready. For your deliverance is near!!

Listening to music does it for me. Some music is so emotional and deep that I just go into a contemplative trance listening to it.

The Mass is the absolute most spiritual for me, but I assume you're going for other types of things...

I trust in God each and every day. I stay in prayer and let the Lord know that I "appreciate" all that he is doing for me. I wish you well. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, WHO can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with BENEFITS, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace, Love and God Bless.
