75 lbs is too much.Lets say this is Nov-Sept -10 more months.You need to lose 7.5 lbs/month.Well i would say it would be easy for you to lose and build at the same time.Because losing 75 lbs and not gaining anything is bad.Workout 5-6 days/week.Do cardio 30 mins/day for 3 days/week.Eat 1-2 gms of protein/bodyweight.Eat 5-8 meals/day instead of 2 or 3.If you follow this believe me your body fat will be less than 12-15% in 6-7 months.Get motivated ask someone before you do something wrong.Learn from the pros they are better.

Join weight watchers, you can count points, weight watchers has lots of meals recipes and products to eat that are very healthy and help lose the weight.
Exercise, eat your daily fruit and vegetables and drink 8 or more glasses of water per day. No sodas, sweets. Watch you calorie count, portion sizes, no greasy fatty foods, no super size. Eat 3 meals and 3 healthy snacks daily.
Good luck, and there is a lot of website with good weight loss programs such as webmd, spark people.
It is all up to you to make your self stick to losing weight. It is the hardest thing anyone can stay motivated to do.
(I constantly struggle with my weight and I get very discouraged when I don't lose.) But I can do and so can you.

Find out what caloric intake is appropriate for your activity level and stick to it. Walk at least 30 minutes a weekday, and walk an hour each weekend day. Don't sit still when watching tv or on the computer, find something to do, like use arm weights or stretch your legs. Don't put your cart in the corral at the store, walk it up. Don't drink soda. Eat as much fruit and veggies as you can stand.
You'll get there.
