Okay, so, I'm the youngest in my family, and only having an older brother, but all my life, I've wanted an Older Sister. I don't know why that is, but the fact is that it's true. Is this normal?

There must be something you think you would get from an older sister that you can't get from your older brother (attention, respect, affection, etc.) and so you have a fantasy which puts you in that situation. My father died when I was young, and I had two sisters. We lived in farm country with few neighbors, and I was the only boy around for miles. My sisters had each other to play with, so I used to wish I had a brother. Fantasy is OK as long as you don't waste your life away feeling depressed, because the reality of your life doesn't match up to your fantasy.

Not really. Maybe someone else has one and you see the great relationship between those two. You can find the same attributes in others if you search. You might ask yourself why do I want an older sister? There in you may find out what you need to know about what it is that drives you to want one. Then you can find the solution, possibly.. Yeah, you always want what you cannot have. I always wanted an older brother too (have an older sister) but she wouldn't go for the sex change operation.

People with curly hair want straight hair and vice-versa.

It's part of being human.

It is perfectly normal to wish and want someone of your own gender with whom you could relate closely to. Personnally, I do not have a brother and this is what is missing in my life. I do have sisters but it is not the same! I had a friend who was like a brother to me and he passed away in 1994. Needless to say, we were like twins and I still miss him a lot especially at Christmas time because it was his favorite time of the year.

Have a beautiful and memorable Christmas.

My friend hates his older brother and would love to have a sister he could gang up on his brother with.If that is why you want an older sister then yea,I guess it is probably normal. If not then I don't really know.
