true Alchemy is as much a spiritual study as it is the pre-cursor to modern chemistry. The turning of physical lead into gold symbolizes the transmutation of the spiritual self from lead (unkowing and uncaring) to gold (the perfection of soul and spirit).
Read anything by Hauck, or Alchemy and the Alchemists by Martin if you're actually interested. Or e-mail - I identify as an Alchemist. I don't say that often 'cause I'm sick of answering the uninformed questions that follow.

Studying discredited theories is a learning and all study will lead to your own mental library of knowledge. You may want to decide what you spend your time on. Time is limited.
Certainly if you find a way to manifest the alchemy of turning lead to gold, you would be a wealthy person on a material level. Perhaps by studying these methods you may realize something hidden that would allow you to perform the task that others claim they have disproved.
One mans study is another mans foolishness.

This interest is declared as plating, if that facilitates. think of of it like this; have you ever seen/heard of silver with a gold overlay, it is extremely the same concept. continuing with this occasion the uncomplicated set up for the lab would be a 9 volt battery, alligator clips, silver and gold metals, and their coresponding ideas. now because of the fact that gold is least possibly to be decreased, or your anion, in this occasion you will hook up the valuable clip to the gold metallic and positioned it interior the silver answer. Then take the silver metallic/cation to the unfavorable clip and positioned it interior the gold soultion. then hook the different ends of the alligator clips, one to each peg, to the 9 volt battery and in some minuets you have got silver plated gold. Now interior the example the place your pal became lead into gold, i've got faith they might have used copper because of the fact the different textile.

I thought that was outrageous too. "Let them learn it... bad science still has something to do with science, yeah? So our Intelligent Design theory should get equal time!"
By the way, in the case of Intelligent Design, the word "theory" SHOULD be understood to mean "a guess, a speculation" and not in its scientific context (since ID doesn't qualify as science).

Technically it CAN happen, but it costs more to do it than just finding the gold in the first place. So I guess...why not? Just change the element, lead's posionous.

No that should be done in the Nuclear physics class.
The methods are discredited, the ends are not.

No. Bombarding lead with neutrons would be too expensive, and probably too hazardous for students to attempt.

With the prices of tuition, i am not surprised they would try! But Jesus does something far more miraculous, that of turning sinners into saints, on his blood-expense and righteousness.
(1 Pet 2:24) "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."
(1 Pet 3:18) "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:"
(Acts 3:19) "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;"

Why not... Although I found it much more fun to make time release stink bombs... (time-release so I could be gone long before the sulfur reaction started LOL)
