ignitor working..suspect system may need pressurising or bleeding but unsure how to carry out on this model

Lol! This is so much the wrong area for that sort of pilot!

The pilot light heats a thermocouple, if that isn't heated then the gas to the pilot cuts off so that you don't have an explosion. But if the thermocouple has failed then the pilot light will be cut off even though it is working correctly.

I'm afraid you are going to have to call a competent gas applience service person to fix it, and if it is the thermocouple that's failed be sure they fit a Honeywell rather than a generic part.

JetDoc is dead on.

Pilots should not operate aircraft when they are lit. That's where the 8 hour rule comes in.
