Sola Scripture is unbiblical. It is total arrogance on the part of those who reject Christs' Church and all authority given to her.
With thousands of Protestants denominations and 'non-denominations' why would anyone believe them??
First of all, the doctrine of Sola Scriptura not only is not found in the Bible, it is actually contradicted by the Bible! According to the Bible, not everything Jesus said or did is recorded in the New Testament (John 21:25). The Bible also tells us that we as Christians must hold fast to oral tradition and the preached word of God (1 Cor 11:2, 1 Pet 1:25). The Bible also warns us that Scripture can be very difficult to interpret, which implies the need for an authority to interpret these difficult texts for us (2 Pet 3:15-16). Where is that authority found? In 1 Timothy 3:15, we are told that the Church is the “pillar and foundation of truth.”
Indeed, Christ did not come to earth to write a book. He came to earth to found a Church. In the Scriptures, we read that Christ founded a Church with divine authority to govern in His name (Mt 16:13-20, 18:18; Lk 10:16). Christ also promised that this Church would last until the end of time (Mt 16:18, 28:19-20; Jn 14:16).
it was the Apostolic Church, acting with divine authority, that determined what was and was not inspired Scripture. It was not the Scripture that established the Church. We would have no way of knowing what should and should not be trusted as an inspired text if it was not for the teaching of an authoritative Church. Even Luther himself had to admit, “We are obliged to yield many things to the Papists [Catholics]—that they possess the Word of God which we received from them, otherwise we should have known nothing at all about it.”
And we also continue to rely on that Church to help us interpret the Scriptures. A book such as the Bible, that plays such an important role in our faith, cannot be left for free interpretation, open to all. This would result in chaos, with everyone insisting that his or her own reading of the text is the correct one. Indeed, this is largely the reason why there are approximately 30,000 different Protestant denominations in existence today, all believing slightly different things, based on different interpretations of Scripture. Surely this is not what Christ had in mind when he prayed “that they may be one” (Jn 17:20-21).
The Catholic Church rejects the doctrine of Sola Scriptura, relying on Sacred Scripture as well as Sacred Tradition as our rules of faith, and the Church herself as the interpreter of that faith. This is the way it was in all Christendom for 1500 years before the Reformation came about, and the way it still is in the Catholic Church today.

The word catholic is not in the bible, nor did Christ ever use the word. Indeed, the Catholic Church began in the 3rd century, so how did Christ start it? The first century church of the apostles is called the churches of God in the bible. There is no mention of a pope in the bible. Indeed, the bible tells us to marry and not to forbid to marry. I Timothy Chapter 4 tells us that in the latter days some shall depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. Surely that is the Catholic Church with its' many sightings of the so-called Virgin Mary, and its' worship of her. The bible is clear that the devil appears as an angel of light, which is what the Mary sightings are. That is why she/it/he never says anything profound. Jesus did not make Peter pope. He said he was the rock upon which the church would be built, not Peter, but Jesus. We are told Jesus is the mediator between man and God (I Timothy 2:5). Indeed it says only one mediator. Yet, Catholics pray to any and everybody who dies. Catholicism is a pagan religion.

The Bible is NOT all one needs for salvation. Christ Jesus is all anyone needs for salvation. Christians don't follow a book, they follow a person. They don't worship a book, they worship a person. To be a Christian is to be part of the Body of Christ, which is the Church mystical. It is comprised of individuals of myriad denominations and no denomination. Blind people who cannot read the Bible and deaf people who cannot hear the gospel can still be Christians, and thus saved. Christ is the beginning, the middle and the end of salvation. Any denomination that disagrees with that - saying salvation can only be found within membership of their group - has immediately identified itself as setting itself up in opposition to Christ = antiChrist. Christ will be with His Church to the end of time because the Church is His body. Denomination just does not come into it.

You seem to be rather confused. Christ DID NOT establish the Catholic Church.....men did.
Jesus Christ, or should I call him by his real name...Yeshua...established the Christian movement with his apostles. He and his apostles preached what Jesus taught throughout the land, gaining many converts to His way. Upon the death of Jesus, the apostles continued the work until their deaths.
After all the apostles died, corruption set in to the teachings of Christ. A few hundred years later, the Catholic church was created using many misinterpretations and pagan ideas.

You are gravely mistaken -- the Catholic Church is NOT the Church of God!!!
As you yourself admit, the Catholic Church does not follow the doctrines of Christ, the Apostles, or the Bible, so HOW can you come to the conclusion that it would even possibly be God's Church???
Just because they preach some Christ doesn't mean they are OF Christ. Christ did NOT establish the CATHOLIC Church. His TRUE Church, however, is still in existence even after millenia of persecution FROM the Catholic Church. {Remember the Inquisition? It was directed primarily against the true Church of God.}
Matthew 24:5 -- For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will DECEIVE MANY.
Mark 13:6 -- For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am He,' and will DECEIVE MANY.
Luke 21:8 -- And He said: "TAKE HEED THAT YOU NOT BE DECEIVED. For MANY WILL COME IN MY NAME, saying, 'I am He,' and, 'The time has drawn near.' Therefore DO NOT GO AFTER THEM.

ONE HOLY CATHOLIC APOSTOLIC CHURCH
The Church is the Body through which Jesus is ever present and active in the world today. The word, “Church” (from Latin ecclesia and Greek ek-kalein) means “the one called out of;” the Church is set apart. In its basic meaning, the Church is the assembly of believers, called out from the world to live the ways of God in the Kingdom. The Church is as convocation, assembly, or community of believers whom God gathers in the whole world, and who draws Her life from the Word and the Sacraments.
The Church is God’s institution, not man’s. It derives its being from the Holy Trinity. It is purposed and created by God the Father, redeemed and built by God the Son, sustained, empowered, and sanctified by God the Holy Spirit. Its origin, existence, and function are truly divine.
The Church is one. It is a complex organism that has tremendous unity in the midst of diversity. Her unity stems from God, the Trinity. The Church is One because God is One. (Ephesians 4:4-6; John 17:22).
The Church is holy because God made her so (Ephesians 5:25-27). Holy has an implication of being different, separated from the world, living by a totally different standard from that of the world. The Church is holy because she is totally consecrated unto God in all that she does. United with Christ, the Church is sanctified by Him, with Him, and in Him. Thus, she becomes sanctifying to men. This holiness is aimed to manifest its fullness in all who believe.
The Church is catholic, meaning universal – whole and total. Because Christ is present in her, the Church has the fullness of Christ as she, the Body, remains in union with Christ, the Head. This union makes her whole and complete. The Church is universal because it embraces all the people of the world who believe – people from every land, tribe, tongue, and nation are all included in this mystical Body. Yet the Church catholic is not only confined on earth. The fullness and catholicity of the Church includes the Church in heaven – the great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, the triumphant Church in heaven, the saints who have gone ahead.
The Church is apostolic because she teaches what the apostles taught. Her faith, worship, and doctrine can be traced directly back to the apostles. Her foundation is built upon the apostles and prophets, with Christ being the Chief Cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20).
THE BIBLE CAME FROM THE CHURCH. THE CHURCH DID NOT COME FROM THE BIBLE. Christianity existed over 300 years without one single Bible Christian.
Does the Bible state It is the sole or final authority of Christianity? No. Neither this statement nor anything even close to it appears anywhere in the New Testament. In fact, Christ said that the Church is to resolve disputes among Christians, not Scripture (Matthew 18:17).
All non-Catholic Christian denominations owe the existence of the Bible to the Catholic Church alone. Why did God choose the Catholic Church to preserve Scripture if It is not His Church?
Is the Bible the sole "teaching from God?" No. The Bible Itself states that their are "oral" teachings and traditions that are to be carried on to the present-day (2 Thessalonians 2:15; 1 Corinthians 11:2; 2 Timothy 2:2; Romans 10:17; 1 Peter 1:24-25). These teachings are what the Catholic Church considers "Sacred Apostolic Tradition." This type of "Tradition" never changes because it was passed down by the Apostles themselves. It is not the same as the man-made traditions condemned in Scripture. The man-made traditions condemned in Scripture were those of the Jewish Pharisees. In fact, as Christians, we are suppose to disassociate ourselves from persons who do not follow Apostolic Tradition (2 Thessalonians 3:6). If oral tradition is not to be followed, why did St. Paul state Christ said something that is not recorded in the Gospels (Acts 20:35)? St. Paul must have "heard" this saying, not read it from any Gospel or "Scripture," thereby, proving that some things Christ said were not recorded in the Gospels (John 21:25) and were passed on orally among His disciples instead, but were just as valid as anything written since St. Paul himself used one of these oral passages in one of his own epistles.
Did the early Christians have the Bible as we know it? No. The Bible as a whole was not compiled until the late 4th century and then it was compiled by a Catholic saint (St. Jerome) at the request of a Catholic pope (St. Damasus I). So how were the early Christians saved if they did not possess the entire written "Word of God" to follow His teachings? Well, naturally, they were the Body of Christ and were taught through "oral" teachings by the Church, not by writings.

Christ didn't form the Catholic church - nor did he write The Bible. The only scripture that Christ quoted was Jewish scripture or the old testament.

To me Catholic church is Christian church. However, Catholic church has been doing horrible thing sin the name of Jesus Christ, and I am confident that Jesus did not ask them to do so.
It irks me when the church claims to be the only true church. We serve our trintarian God and that is the only true way, no church can claim to be the one and true. We worship God of Abraham who is the only true God, that is the key.
