In europe license plates are longer that in the US, I was wondering if there is a way of getting the Virgnia license plates customized so they are long like European plates.

there are companes that will do custom ones or actually sell you a used one. you can put it on your car as long as the va plate is visible.
be prepared for getting stopped though, might get a ticket or two and have to fight

As a resident of Virginia my entire life and an automotive enthusiast I can tell you the answer is no. As a matter of fact I think all license plates nationwide are the same size.

Can you get them? Sure, there are a lot of places that will make you custom plates that look like European plates, and would ship them to you in Virginia. You can look at them, or nail them to your garage wall if you'd like. If you are asking "Can I use them on my car?" the answer is no, state law would dictate what you must use on your vehicle.

I beleive plates are regulated for size and colour, so no I don't think so.
