Henri (Marie-Raymond) de Toulouse-Lautrec-Monfa was born, November 24,1864, the son of 2 noble families. The first name, Henri, was given as a tribute to the pretender to the throne of France. His father, Count Alphonse de Toulouse-Lautrec-Monfa, had married his cousin-german, Adèle Tapié de Céleyran; the painter's two grandmothers were sisters, Gabrielle and Louise d'Imbert du Bosc.
The noble titles of the family date from about 750, in the time of Karel the great. The oldest forefather that had distinguished himself was Fridelon, who protected the town Toulouse against Karel the bad. Raymond de Toulouse
Though its connection with the Counts of Toulouse, defenders of the persecuted Albigenses, is somewhat uncertain, the Toulouse-Lautrec family is a very ancient one, going back to Antoine, Viscount of Toulouse, Lautrec, Monfa, Saint-Germier and other places, who made his Will in 1527.

He was a child of the count of Toulouse-Lautrec and countess Adèle-Zoé-Marie-Marquette Tapié of Céleyran. They had an aristocratic name. Short for "Comte de Toulouse-Lautrec, Vicomte de Montfa"
I guess he was lucky. It could have been even longer.
Check his ancestry:
