Until GW Bush and his Senate cronies WRECKED it by reversing the Court's social polarity from being personal-liberties-oriented to no longer caring for our individual freedoms, the Court had been **benevolent** for more than 100 years. No American alive has ever seen nor experienced the breed of Supreme Court that we NOW are saddled with.

Does America stand a chance as a free country with an ANTI-freedom Supreme Court? Or is a perpetual nightmare about to descend upon our society? Can we possibly still... somehow... **restore** our Court to its former benevolent majority before it's too late?

To "Dr. Who" -- Your answer does not compute. The RRR Cult (comprised of pseudo-Christian bigots) deludes itself to think of itself as "Christian." And in *that* frame of mind, they must just LOVE this new, hateful and repressive Supreme Court. It was the influence of the RRR Cult that has WRECKED the Court! So what are you trying to say?

To "Holy Holly" -- You obviously did NOT read the linked article, or you couldn't possibly have given such a weird answer! The article PROVES your comments to be totally wrong.

Oh -- one more thing: I suggest you Google "Marbury versus Madison." It's been the law of the land since almost the time America was born. You can learn a LOT from it!

TO EVERYONE -- Please don't try to access the site with Firefox. For some unknown reason, Firefox has it very screwed up. All OTHER browsers should render it just fine. You should see a green digital clock in the upper left corner of it.

Under the GOP jihad, "freedom" is only a privilege for their members-only club.

True Freedom means everyone has it. By picking and choosing who "deserves" it, it has been destroyed.

Even if our now-institutionalized fraudulent electronic voting system is abolished, even if major, fair election + funding reform is enacted, the GOP will never again allow a freedom-oriented court. Their extremist wing has made it clear they will resort to judicial assassination before that happens.

It's going to take a while to fix, by elected a succession of Democratic Presidents. In the mean time, by electing Democratic Congresses with large majorities we can lessen the impact of the current Supreme Court.

What are you talking about?

The judges that people don't like are the liberal ones who were put into power by democratic presidents. The court will become "benevolent" when the vote becomes at least 5 conservatives. Right now there are 4 conservative and 4 liberal judges and 1 sort of moderate judge.

Judges are supposed to be conservative by nature, upholding the constitution and nothing more, it is not their power to delegate legislation or executive orders. The constitution is not up for debate but only its interpretation, some things are clear as day in it.
