I’ve grown up in Canada, traveled all through the states and England, and everywhere I go I find religious disputes. I grew up Catholic, going to Catholic and public school in and around Toronto ON. I wrote papers in both my religion classes in Catholic school and World Religion classes in public schools, about the all the similarities in the major religions. Heck, the one written about the similarities between Islam, Judaism, and Catholicism, was so long I got docked points! People seem to “hate” Islamist because they are grouping them together with Al-Qaeda, which is not fair because they are extremists going outside of the teaching of Islam. The fact is that they are one of the few religions, (Catholics Mormons are some of the others), to enter disaster areas and help people. Heck, its even part of their religion to donate money to the less fortunate!
Why do some people hate other religions or have such strong feelings against them?
Do you even know what you are talking about?

A religion that didn't actively promote demonizing of those not belonging to that religion would have to offer something else of value in order to persist. The Buddhists seem to have managed it, apparently through the helpful though difficult meditation practices promoted by that religion. But not everyone is capable of that kind of discipline, and so in their need to appeal to large numbers of people, most religions promote the demonizing of non-adherents.

It's far less a matter of human evolution than it is a matter of the evolution of religions. To put it briefly, all other things being equal, a religion won't persist if it says "Oh, the other religions are okay too - go ahead and look into them".

the main debatable? no remember if or not atheism itself is a faith, or merely the shortcoming of a faith. observed heavily by ability of such different controversies as a million) the place morality comes from 2) If atheism ends up in a self-conventional existence style 3) If atheism breeds anger and resentment 4) If atheism is fairly closeted Christianity which might exhibit itself in, say, a fox hollow.

I think everyone would get along much better if they did not try and assert their religion on others.

Al-Quaeda wants to assert their brand of islam on the world.
Christians want to convert unbelievers to their beliefs.
Christian fundamentalists want to assert their god beliefs into public school biology classrooms.

Unwelcomed intrusion often generate strong feelings of resistance.

I have learned to not blame the religion. The problem comes from the fanatics of that religion. It is with the individual of the particular religion, not the religion as a whole.

simple , ( and I hate to be blunt ) , but they're not smart . Being a Christian myself , I have dealt with a lot of people regarding this and to shame , a lot of it comes from my Christian brethren . They don't know how to question their bible effectively and rather just follow the words of their preacher . ( the preacher may be ordained but not perfect ) I have nothing against other people's belief . I question my beliefs all the time as to grow with in it , not dumb myself down . You're supposed to be stronger with God not stupid

For many Fundamentalists (Christian ,Muslim,Atheist or otherwise) hating other religions is part of their religious or irreligious identities and cultivating and circulating slanders and libels about those others are considered virtuous.

I think that they are basically insecure in their own beliefs
