I know that I am saved, I know that Jesus loves me, and I know Im going to heaven... But my spriritual walk with God has become stale. I continue to struggle with the same sin today that i struggled with before i was saved: pornography. Satan has a solid foothold in my life- I can feel the Lord pulling, but he's moving dead slow. When darkness comes to seize the day, I turn off the light and fade away... My heart has become so dirty, and I have allowed detestable things into my mind. I have looked into the abyss for so long that i dont recognize my own reflection. I feel like paul when he said; " What I do, I do not understand. For I do not do what I want, but I do what I hate...but I see in my members another principle at war with the law of my mind, taking me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members..." I need someone who inquires of the Lord to give me practical guidance for dealing with this sin, lest I should wither away like the fig tree...

I am going to try and help you here- I think that everyone one of us that call ourselves born again believers will at one time or another be able to understand what Paul is saying in that passage- we do things we know we should not do, and do not do what we should be doing. However one statement you made jumped off the page for me, and I am going to write mainly about that -
"I can feel the Lord pulling, but He's moving dead slow". God is making a way for you out of your sin, however you have to completely kill that desire in you. God will not automatically pull you out of sin, anymore then He would do that for me. We have to completely put to death anything that is not of Him. And to that GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN ME, THAN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD.
Read Colossians 3- which basically says that we are to PUT TO DEATH- whatever belongs to our earthly nature- it does not say- God will move you away from it, without us doing this. Satan does try to get a stronghold into all of our lives, to make us ineffective for His kingdom- however God is more powerful than Satan- and as soon as you say you are literally going to kill the porn in your life, LEAVE IT- God will give you the strength- however you have to believe that it is you that has to move away from the sin, as well as God giving you the strength to do that. You realize that you need to stop- that is a start- you are right you are turning off the light=- turn it on and let Jesus shine the light and then you follow it. It isn't easy- however- you can be free from SIN-

Many Christians today are and will continue to be encountering some serious spiritual roadblocks. As we know it today, it was needed for soul development when humanity was less evolved than today.
Now religion, and notably this form, has become a road block to moving on to further soul progress. Souls are now crippled because of it, or just reach a place where they can't move on. They are not open to new teachings.

Thus more and more Christians (and people of other religions as well) will continue to hit a spiritual dead-end. And will continue to experience an ever increasing backlash from the secular and science communities and people who don't want organized religion to have the power it does today. It will get worse and worse.

My advice to anyone with a similiar situation is to BE OPEN TO NEW TEACHINGS.

That which we call "God" is still there and always has been, always will be.

Folks aren't losing their connection, it is just time to reconnect in a healthier way .

God Bless.

I know what you mean but not quit how you feel. I also know I am saved but I steel struggle with a sin I have had since before I was saved. I really don't think I can help you without knowing what the sin is but God is always there and you just need to ask God for help. Every time you sin he is telling you not to. You need to listen and use your knowledge of the Bible to cast the devil away from your mind.

Are you saved according to the Apostles Doctrine, or some man-made contrivance of the Truth. The Bible says to repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins and we will be given the Holy Ghost. When we receive the Holy Ghost we will experience what the 120 experienced in the upper room on the Day of Pentecost. We will speak in an unlearned language as the Spirit gives utterance. This is the overcoming Spirit that helps us to fight off the temptations that will come our way. This is waiting for you tomake it happen. This is the only way as we are given power and authority from Our Lord and Savior to do His will.

paul said something else to;(1 Corinthians 6:18-20) . . .Flee from fornication. Every other sin that a man may commit is outside his body, but he that practices fornication is sinning against his own body. 19 What! Do YOU not know that the body of YOU people is [the] temple of the holy spirit within YOU, which YOU have from God? Also, YOU do not belong to yourselves, 20 for YOU were bought with a price. By all means, glorify God in the body of YOU people.

God always gives you a way out. You have to turn away from this sin. Busy your self doing good things. Help others. Volunteer at a hospital or old folks home. There are many lonely people there, that would love a visit from you. Do things for others with out expecting anything in return.

It is up to you to repent. Once you get rid of a sin, you have to fill up it's place with good things, or 10 other bad things come in to fill it up. So start doing good things.

At least you have turned to religion, but this sin must be cleansed from you. Dispose of all magazines and videos that depict such a thing and pray to God to help you stay strong so you don't turn to such sources ever again. Read the Bible when you feeling like reading one of those magazines. Simply put, you need to replace your bad habit with a new and good one.

Pick your battles to gain confidence to fight the bigger war. Know that God loves you and will always be with you to help you through your struggles, you just need to realize that you are already forgiven and justified, your heart is not dark and evil, that is a lie from Satan because Christ has made you good.

Well,
First of all. You need to humble yourself a little more cause how can you be soooo sure of yourself in all those subjects. Only God knows your future.
Secondly, you should try praying alot. In the morning, before bed, and atleast 3 times a day. You should pray about what you want God to forgive you for. Search deep inside yourself and TRULY ask God for forgiveness. Along with that you should try fasting. It deminishes your appetite for sex.
There is a way of life that teaches you that you will be at war with yourself sometimes and how to go about it.
That way of life is..........ok, here it goes.................

ISLAM.
