i am that guy and words cant come out of my mouth

it doesnt help matters any when i am approaching 30 and i am the shy guy who just cant get any words out

I would talk to him and just having a normal conversation.

Why wait till you are so uncomfortable at age 30 to talk to a lady? Go and see about joining a debating team or toast-masters or some group where you can get used to speaking to people in general. I assume you are not too shy to give your lunch order to a female? So you can do it. You just need to get yourself used to the idea. All things feel awkward at first, but just go and try. Also I highly recommend ballroom dancing classes. You will go and grow in confidence in all directions, meet people and genuinely have a nice time.
Please go and enjoy your life... don't let timidity hold you back.

Well It's kind of sad if he can't talk to me if I like the guy. I'll try to make conversation with him but if he still won't talk I'll probably take that as a sign he doesn't like me and move on. Don't be shy!

I think he's nervous, and likes me, or is a little creepy.
Try practicing talking in front of a mirror, it could help you become less shy.
Or just say "hey! what's up? what did you get on the math test?"

I think its sweet. I usually talk to the shy guy and try to make him comfortable talking with me.

awh n_n* that's really cute. i would probably try and start a conversation. and you wouldn't really have to worry, i'd be doing all the talking XD but i'd either think that this guy is really shy (and cute ;] ) or that maybe he doesn't have enough confidence to talk to me, which, in that case, i better help him along. :D good luck!
