Bottom line....get to your eye doc to check it out. It's probably infected, but there are other complications that can happen with over-wearing contact lenses, also. The best idea is to stay out of the contacts, wear your backup glasses, and wash your pillow cases, sheets, and towels. Toss your current contact lenses and lens case and get new ones. Keep your hands clean and try not to rub your eye, since it can be contagious by contact with other people (or your other eye).

Be sure to follow your eye doctor's instructions carefully. I wouldn't wait around to see if it gets better. Make an appointment as soon as you can.

Yes it does sound like pink eye. Go to the eye dr asap and they can give you some drops to clear it up. Also, it is very contagious so wash wash cloths after using and try not to rub your eyes and then touch anything, mainly don't rub them if at all possible. Keep your contacts out until you go to the dr. Also, if you wear makeup, you are going to have to throw away everything you used in the past week around your eyes. Mascara, eyeliner, etc. Sorry : ( but if you don't you will reinfect yourself again.

it sounds like it to me. the symptoms generally are:

-Eyelids stuck shut when you wake up in the morning (the classic symptom)

-Uncomfortable, thick yellow or green discharge (often a bacterial infection)

-Thin, clear drainage from the eye (often a viral infection or an allergic reaction)

-Itching, burning, or feels like sand in your eye (often a viral infection or an allergic reaction)

-Family member with the same symptoms (an infection is being passed from one person to another)

-Painful eye in bright light (called photophobia)

-A recent cold (often a viral infection)

-Swollen lymph nodes (often a viral infection)

-Burning during urination or discharge from the penis in men (rare)

-Vaginal discharge in women (a possible complication of a sexually transmitted disease)

hmm, i would go get it checked out just in case. it sounds like the start of it. it could also just be allergies, but just in case, get checked.

it definitely sounds like pink eye! i just had it, you wake up and you cant open your eye because its practically glued shut and its red in the corner, wash your sheets and don't touch anyone! also don't rub your eyes, it will spread to the other side.
