God, did not bring diease, death, destruction, illness or anything bad into this world.

Notice that all the bad stuff happened AFTER satan had fooled Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden?

Why do people give God credit for death and destruction when its really satans fault?

I have never said that it was God's fault. God and Satan are as much at fault as Santa & the Tooth Fairy. And as real.

No god put disease, death and illness here due to man's action. Even as a punishment, god still is responsible for it. Satan is only recorded with the power to do these things in Job, but that was written (around the time the Talmud was) when it was believed that he was an angel of enlightenment and worked with God to enlighten men through trials. God sent plagues on the Egyptians, not Satan. In fact Satan is never recorded as killing anyone, except perhaps in Job, once again with God's permission. God on the other hand has consistently wiped out races and peoples and is continually attributed with causing war between nations.

Edit:
Is it good parenting to let your children be raised by or live in the enemies territory? This is exactly what you indicate, god has us grow up in Satan's world... This make no sense whatsoever.

It's a good thing that the bible at best is historical myth.

In psychological terms it's called Transference, they always attempt to put their shortcomings on someone else then blame all the victims and tell them it's their Fault and the True God of earth and Heaven's fault since He's all Powerful!
He' s a coward and a Menace to Society, weak and inept with no Social skills or abilities of his own..but does not mind taking credit for other's accomplishments by way of plagerism. People tend to follow By Choice one or the Other.

1. it was a serpent not satan, (in the story), it's just a 'how it came to be story' for the hebrews explaining why snakes have no legs. where does it say it was satan.
2. look in the jewish encyclopedia, (on-line), and you will see that satan is just an angel and a member of the divine council, not a devil he only has agency through god and does god's bidding.(they should know, they created the religion).
3. what your saying sounds an awful lot like manichaeism

Larry,

You are right that Satan is the god of this system of things, the source of injustices and of all evil. - 1 John 5:19; 2 Cor 4:4

Why do many people says it is God's fault? The reason...

Religious teachers sometimes lead people to think that God is hardhearted. How so? When tragedy strikes, they say that it is God’s will. In effect, such teachers blame God for the bad things that happen.

Is that the truth about God?

James 1:13 answers: “When under trial, let no one say: ‘I am being tried by God.’ For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone.” So God is never the source of the wickedness you see in the world around you. Granted, he does allow bad things to happen. But there is a big difference between allowing something to happen and causing it.

For example, think about a wise and loving father with a grown son who is still living at home with his parents. When the son becomes rebellious and decides to leave home, his father does not stop him. The son pursues a bad way of life and gets into trouble. Is the father the cause of his son’s problems? No. Similarly, God has not stopped humans when they have chosen to pursue a bad course, but he is not the cause of the problems that have resulted. Surely, then, it would be unfair to blame God for all the troubles of mankind.

***Then what is real god doing? -as Atheist Machine said...

God has good reasons for allowing mankind to follow a bad course. As our wise and powerful Creator, he does not have to explain his reasons to us.

***Is that loving? -as Acid_Zebra, a-the-ist said...

You will find it difficult to understand, but Yes. Out of love, however, God does this.

Have not parents who truly love their children permitted them to undergo a painful operation for the sake of the child’s happy and healthy future. God also has good reasons temporarily to permit humans to suffer. Yes, the permission of temporary suffering has often made it possible for children to enjoy better health later on in life. And just as the pain of an operation does not last forever, man-rule and its injustices are soon to end.

Satan and God are the forces of nature and are very ancient indeed.Lucifer is the true father of the human race who will lead us all through the gates of initiation and to have a hand at the construction of a very high civilization that will be based on love and the brotherhood of all living things.

Satan is NOT the god of this planet!
He is not in charge anywhere, even in hell.
He is a convicted criminal out on bail but his sentencing is coming up.
Bad stuff happens because people do foolish things, run risks, ignore good science and try to pull the wool over the other fellow's eyes. Take war for example, it wasn't God who told Bush to invade Iraq.
And the Army Corp dikes in New Orleans, that's a criminal act against all the American people.
Most of the bad stuff is accidental or deliberate sin by people who ought to know better.

So, basically, Adam caused aging, sickness, poison, natural disasters, death and all bad things in the world.

1) isn't that a little severe for eating some fruit?
2) doesn't god hold a grudge for a very very long time?
3) don't you think this is a little easy and dismissive?

and finally, in the bible, god often causes death and destruction. In fact, he levels entire cities and floods the planet. Is that loving?

That is a slightly childish view of the Creator, all good, ridiculous. Even the Bible can't pretend that God is all Good , look at the wars your God incited, the sadistic tests of faith.

All evil and all good is of man, the G/gods and devils we create bare a striking resemblance to us, but are only concoctions of our vivid imagination.

Okay..God is supposed to be omniscient, right?

Well If God knows EVERYTHING then:

He knew that Lucifer would rebel and turn evil before He even created Satan, and yet he still created Lucifer. Why?
He knew that Adam & Eve would eat the fruit before he created them and he still created them. Why is that?
God knew what we would do with "free will" like start wars, murder and rape people. And yet God still decided to give us "free will"? He could've limited our free will to do only nice things. But hey, that's God for you!

So you're blaming all the bads things on Satan or anything else but God, when God is the reason all these bad things happened in the first place.
