Digital output : Raw or PCM?

RAW IS PCM.
PCM is two-channel only (unless it is over HDMI..)

You probably mean Dolby Digital (also called Bitstream) or PCM

If you want to get 5.1 channel sound then select Raw, or if Bitsream is an option select that.
