i didnt say there was a problem did i if anything i was concerned as the female is only around 7mths old and i thought she was to young. my mum has a male and a female living together they are not done and she has no intenstions (well they would look rather wierd wouldnt u think the female is a chihuahua and the male is a saint bernard) i have nothing against breeding at all its up to the person that owns the animals if i had more time on my hands then i would have let mine have pups

Yes, they she could now be pregnant, but not all ties end in a pregnancy, seperate the dogs now.

I'd say the chances of a pregnancy were pretty high! Not because they were tied (it doesn't always take) but because a male and female allowed that amount of freedom usually results in pregnancy! As they're your neighbours dogs it might be worth mentioning to them that they may have pups on the way!

I would most definately say that the female is most likely to be pregnant if they were seen 'tied'.
The pups will be due in around 63 days from that time if she is pregnant and obviously, signs of pregnancy include body thickening, swollen mammary glands, increased appetite,
possible morning sickness in the early days and nearer the time, nest building or searching for a den-like area,in readiness to whelp.

Maybe the female is spayed/ or the male is neutered and that's why she doesn't believe you?
If not, then it's likely the female will be pregnant.. When it comes to accidents or people not paying attention to their dogs.. The odds of pregnancy increase dramatically.

Sorry, i don't understand...
If the dog and the b-itch are from the same house hold then they're going to be together like all day long.
If they were going to breed then they could do it anytime they wanted, so whats the big deal about them being tied up together?
It would have to be a pretty stupid person who kept a male and female dog in their house without having one or both neutered... and if they aren't, then she has every right to breed her dogs if she wants which must be her intention.
What is everyone going on about?

Almost all ties end in a pregnancy. It is important to have the dog wormed regularly during pregnancy.

well, if she doesn't believe you, she is another ignorant dog owner, and is contributing to the already over-populated world of dogs. Wanna know what happens to puppies born to irresponsible owners? Go to the shelter.

If she was allowing him to mate her she must have been in season, so yeas I would say give it few weeks and you will be hearing the patter of lots of tiny paws!
