I recently started temping and as a result of having a 40 hour week I haven't had time to make any graduate applications or do anything else for that matter. The other day I popped into the career centre to pick up some directories for graduate applications and I was shocked to discover that many application deadlines for the graduate applications have already passed. These are mainly for the top MNCs such as UBS and Morgan Stanley as well as Citigroup. I have always dreamed of working for them but now I will have to wait a whole year for the graduate applications to open again.

I am feeling upset, angry and frustrated. Any advice on how I can move forward or deal with this problem???

If you have money go travelling for a year or half a year. If you don't, work for smaller firms which have more flexible deadlines or just temp for a few months. Give you some real working experience as well as pay the rent. Not to mention you will have more valuable examples when you fill in the 'essay' questions on your application forms and during interviews.

DARLING. it is past, it is over, gone, delete, what else can you do?? Move on. Think of it this way. I've go a whole year to get myself prepared. Getting upset more than an hour is a waste of your valuable time and causes lost of stress activated free radical damage. SO STOP IT.
