Call your vet and ask. My vet charges $30, but I've heard from other people that theirs is more expensive. Despite popular belief, ultrasounds are great for confirming pregnancy and checking the development of the puppies, but not good for an accurate pup count. We were told they could only see 4 pups with our dane, she ended up having 10. Many people I know have gotten counts that are way off.

They run about thirty-fifty dollars in this area. You would also have to pay for the vet appt and other lab fees. The best option in pregnancy is to wait until she is near her due date and have an x-ray. That way the vet can measure the head size compared to pelvic size, count the puppies, and compare puppy sizes. An ultrasound can be done after delivery to make sure the uterus is empty. X-rays are just more reliable to count puppies than ultrasounds are, but they run about seventy dollars.

if u cant afford to take ur dog to the vet for an ultrasound then y did u even breed her. r u planning on making money off the litter. do u realize that if she needs to have a c section that will cost u 1000-3000 dollars. not to mention all the supplies u need. and u bred her way to young so if she doesnt accept the puppies u will need to buy puppy formula. and feed them every 2 hours (and not just the day time hours that is around the clock). seriously if u dont have a disposable income than u really shouldnt breed ur dog. i mean if u cant even afford the ultrasound then how r u going to afford anything else for the dogs

I paid a lot more than $30 or $100 for my last ultra sound. It was about $300 at a specialty clinic and included a specialist reading it. It was an ultrasound of the gallbladder and liver.

Call you rvet and ask it an ultra sound or a x-ray would be better. At this stage I'd opt for the x-ray this way you can actually see the pups skulls and count them. Your vet may not recomend either to you but to take a wait and see posture too. You need to speak to your vet about either thing being done right now!

this could take a while. My Lab was in labor for about 12 hours. She was panting all day and finally she started wanting to go outside every 3 minutes. she was also going in the closet and trying to nest. So I took her in the bathroom and within 15 min had 2 puppies. everyone was/is fine.

At one year old she is WAY too young to have puppies...she's STILL A BABY! SERIOUSLY! Bring her in an get her spayed now. Doesn't matter if she's pregnant (if she is). We don't need more pups in this world especially when they can't start out life with proper vet care. It's the MORAL thing to do.
IF you don't she does need an u/s. She needs EXTRA vet care because of her age. PLease get her in either way

Why don't you just ring round vets and ask how much they charge? It varies a lot.
