Probably ! But, they will be the one's paying for it, just the same. This is one of the perks God has. He can send these curious messages without an explanation of why !

Perhaps. The insurance uses the term "Act of God" when it is a case of liability on the part of the insured. For instance if a part of the structure of the church that was hit by lightning had hit an automobile and damaged it, the church would not be liable because there would have been no negligence on the part of the church which caused the accident. Therefore the insurance company would have claimed the damage caused to someone else because the lightening hit the church as an "Act of God".

Great question ... not because it was a great question but because it dragged some fundies out into the spotlight where they parroted their stuff.
I come here for the comedy; fundies ALWAYS deliver, don't they?

It can, hitting a deer or another animal on the roadway that causes damage is classified as an "Act of God". Really. I suppose lightning can as well.

I think it's funny how the pastor was saying he wasn't sure what God was trying to tell him. These people are so desperate to believe in God that they think he plays this guessing game with them, as if he couldn't just send them a note telling them what he wants them to do.

I put a line through that on my policy.
(James 1:13) 13 When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone.
